A man who was filmed punching the window of a car in a viral video has been identified by police.
A Langley couple filmed an angry encounter on Fraser Highway, in which a man beat on the windows of their car with his fists while they were stopped at a red light. The poster claimed the man in the red shirt also spat on him before he could roll the window up, before the video recording started. Barry Beales confirmed the incident was reported to police, with the couple driving directly to the RCMP detachment, which is just around the corner from where the punching took place. Beales said the couple reported that the man in the red shirt had been tailgating them as they drove east on Fraser Highway, and then drove around them and ran a red light. He then followed them to the next red light at nd Street, where he got out of his vehicle, and the confrontation caught on video took place. However, while the couple reported the incident to police, they indicated they did not want to pursue criminal charges, Beales said.
