By Kiaalta. Howdy all, I'm fairly new to the game, and I was wondering which class would be best for solo PvE content; Warrior or Guardian? I have heard that the Necromancer is a great class for that, but zombie-creatures and things such as that are gross to me and it's a bit of a turn-off, so I don't have much desire to play it daily I still have one tucked away just in case though. I know a little about the two specializations for both classes, but not what would be best for solo content. If a more well-versed player could give me their educated opinion, I would be immensely grateful towards you, all the guides I've looked up on the internet have been mostly about Fractals and WvW which don't really answer my question. I would also be very interested in knowing the reasons such as pros and cons why one of the two classes might be better for my goal so I can get a better understanding of your opinion.

Warrior is the one that comes to mind the most. Afterwards, Ranger would probably be next. Extremely strong ranged dps, and a pet that can tank most any normal mob in the game. It also has solid mobility on top of that. Necro or Ele would be next, though both have an issue with really comparing to the other two. Necro and Ele both have the ability to melt mobs pretty easily, with Ele melting them the fastest. However, Ele can't facetank at all, and will die if you just stand around. Necro, on the other hand, can pretty much have you go make a sandwhich while the enemies pound on you. On the flip side, Necros have pretty mediocre mobility outside of some cheesy-ness with Spectral Walk , while Eles have pretty solid mobility.
Great power DPS, especially against single targets.
By Zei. The Mirage eSpec for Mesmer is actually one of the most capable at soloing open world content up to legendary bounties. There are also some Necro, Engineer and Revenant builds that might do the trick. It depends on how easy you want the play to be. There's no build that can handle literally all open world content solo. Some challenges simply require a large number of players.

He also has a tier list not too long ago, but since then a few things have changed, which is noted in the. Good health 2. Warrior is greedy and selfish. The problem with Thief is that albeit versions of Daredevil and Deadeye with reasonable sustain exist, they make mostly single target damage, so are good for soloing bosses but a PITA vs small groups. It is no match for staff mirage in terms of ease of play, but the potential sustain and damage output are among the best of any class for solo play. Posted February 18, edited.
Some players enjoy the challenge of beating content alone, not for bragging rights, but for the sheer fun and excitement of it all.

Second is scourge, then mirage and then the rest Almost no cleave from range -- only one of the rifle abilities pierces, the others are 1 target and can be blocked by a stray mob wandering in front of the thing you were aiming at. So I guess the best choice will come down to whether you mostly want to play in open world or do content designed to challenge groups.
