I've been playing GTA games since Vice City was popular, and all of them have had a damage model in which your armor gets depleted in about 5 to 15 hits, depending on the type of weapon used. Pistols take more hits and rifles take less hits to fully drain armor. This ridiculous damage model has resulted in me failing a job countless times and has cost me tons of money in armor expenses. Is it just me or is this damage model inappropriate for a GTA game? It seems like it would be appropriate for a milsim where even a single bullet from a pistol can kill you. But in a GTA game?
