Thunderstorms produced a widespread soaking rainfall across much of Wisconsin Wednesday night. The heaviest rains fell in central through southwest Wisconsin. The far north and northeast portions of the state received much lighter rains.

Heavy rain fell over parts of central Wisconsin, causing some flooding. Saturday has been declared a First Alert Weather Day, with strong to severe storms expected Saturday evening. Scattered strong thunderstorms, large hail, strong straight-line winds, and more heavy rainfall are expected. Make sure to have a way to receive alerts throughout the evening, and to stay sky aware! Heavy rain has impacted much of central and east-central Wisconsin over the past 48 hours. Some flooding has occurred because of the heavy rain.
