P is a fairly common trouble code with the Volkswagen Golf. P is certainly a cause for concern and should be considered a threat to the drivability of your Golf. Fixing P should be considered a high priority. The most common fix for P is to replace the spark plugs, coil packs, or if equipped plug wires. Cylinder one is typically the closest to the front of the engine. There are quite a few things that can cause the P trouble code to trigger the Volkswagen Golf. So update: I don't think it's an injector issue. It pulls well and does not misfire at all when driving. Car seems to be driving really well now not sure if it's placebo or what.
