Gmt800 upgrades

I just had a family member sell me his old pickup truck cheap. I'm going to end up selling my Kia Soul in the near future because I'm sick of paying for it and I only live 2 miles from work. I do like to visit state parks from time to time however and that's where a mpg bump might make a little difference. Anyone have any proven mods for the chassis? I learned how to drive for mileage in my gf's insight, so I have that side of it covered for the most part. Today Popular topics. Other popular topics in this forum I own and have driven both GMT and series 4x4s. Here is what has worked for me in the past. Assuming your truck has the 4L60e 4 speed automatic, the best mod would be to swap it out for a stick shift, such as the NV I did this in my GMT and picked up huge mileage gains. GMT trucks were available from the factory with a stick so everything should bolt up, but you would have to have your computer swapped or reprogrammed.

First of all, you need to measure your radiator to see what size it is. Some trucks came with a smaller radiator 28 inches wide and some have the larger radiator, which is 34 inches wide. So if you have the smaller 28 inch one, you need to upgrade your radiator to the 34 inch one first. If you have the 34 inch radiator, the fans will bolt right up as if they were made for your truck. The holes for the fan to bolt on are already in the radiator support. It uses the same bolts as the radiator. You can just zip tied my harness alongside another factory wire loom that runs alongside the bottom of the radiator.

I like to tinker in the garage and some of the things I did were because it interested me to work on. But I'm not enthusiastic about a market price. Fuel Gauge Stuck on Empty. Finally I have been able to install the Lid for the truck Obviously this is not cheap. I have seen one where an aluminum 'fuel cell' was put in place of the spare and the filler ran to the same place, mounted side by side under the same door. I'd rather cause a slow death to my vehicles than a fast one for me. I have no idea how the Tahoe is set up, but my Suburban has a second tank factory up above the spare tire. That would be a good time to put in a better locker if budget allows. Total: 6 members: 0, guests: 6.
