I'm trying to replace the fuse to the cigarette lighter of my 55 plate Focus Ghia but can't find where it is in the fuse box. I've found a fuse box diagram but my fuse box is completely different. Can anyone help please. But from your photo your fusebox looks different, more like the newer one. This has fuses numbered from , maybe it was replaced. You can post now and register later.

U will need to push the sides of the glove box once opened pull it down further and the stem on the left disconnects and the glove box will hang and be out of ur way, the fuse diagram is on the flat bit on the bottom of the glove door!!!!

If the consumer is a cigarette lighter, check the coil face, is it broken or covered in tobacco? If your consumer is a phone charger, check the contact points for damage. Test it in another car or try a different charger. The phone charger type plug has three contact points, one in the center and two on each side. All must be clean and free from debris. The contact points are spring-loaded so that they contact the inside of the lighter socket firmly, go ahead and check that the contacts are working. This might sound too simple, but sometimes crap just gets stuck in the socket; pushing in the plug or lighter just pushes it further in and prevents the contact points from connecting. It might look OK, but the contacts may be dirty and cause resistance. Remove, inspect, and clean the fuse contacts with sandpaper.
