Roddy, a rat from the classy side of town, is presented with a whole lot of trouble as he swirls to the unfamiliar world of the London sewers in Flushed Away. In an attempt to save Ratropolis and get back home, Roddy teams up with Rita and her makeshift boat named the Jammy Dodger for a trip through such environments as Roddy's Kensington apartment, Arachne's Lair, Ratropolis, and more to confront and defeat the evil Toad. Armed with unlimited lives and a variety of weapons including Roddy's "dashing fence attack," Rita's "bouncing bungee," and Jammy Dodger's "crayon crossbow," the group must avoid floating debris and defeat enemies while locating and collecting power-ups including Rita's Ruby, the fire extinguisher, and the air cannon among others. Join Roddy and Rita as they fight to save the Underworld Metropolis from the Toad's evil plans of amphibian domination! Speed through the waterways of the Underground Metropolis in the Jammy Dodger. The Toad is the main antagonist of Flushed Away. He is Roddy 's arch-nemesis and the henchrats including Spike and Whitey 's leader and boss and Le Frog 's leader, boss, and older cousin. They would frolic day-after-sunny-day, sharing the relationship between boy and toad. However, when Charles got a new pet rat, he and the Toad were separated. One day, at a play, as Charles was playing with the rat, one of the guards found the Toad backstage and flushed him down the toilet which the Toad calls a "whirlpool of despair". Spike and Whitey capture Rita and another rat named Roddy St. James and bring them to The Toad. After Roddy explains that he needs to return to Kensington. Roddy found it to be "amusing", in which the Toad thought he would find it as "diverging, not amusing. The Toad then reacts angrily when Spike and Whitey were frozen instead and when Rita insulted him and unplugged the master cable.
