The Manchester Christmas Markets are back for with the bratwurst sizzling away and the mulled wine being poured into festive mugs as we speak. Visitors can expect all the familiar sights and sounds of the annual markets, which are open from today November 10 until Thursday, December As many will agree, the Manchester Christmas Markets wouldn't be what they are without their impressive array of food and drinks options. There's a wealth of choice across all nine different zones, from gluhwein and bratwurst to steins and crepes covered in chocolate sauce and toppings from some of Manchester's favourite food and drink businesses including Porky Pig, Yard and Coop and The Witch House, amongst others. We've travelled across the city centre, from Piccadilly Gardens to King Street - and back again - to find all the prices you can expect to pay for your sausages, gluhwein and beer, plus whatever sweet treats you might fancy. There are more than stalls across the nine sites, selling everything from beer and crafted gifts to sweets and burgers. It can only mean one thing in Manchester - the city's Christmas Markets are back and an obligatory visit for thousands of people across the North West is on the cards. The annual festive event opened today November 10 and there is an impressive variety of food, drink and gift stalls spread out all across the centre's main shopping streets. The main hub of the event will be at Piccadilly Gardens once again and it has been transformed into the "Winter Gardens" for a second year. The markets will open daily until Thursday, December 21 and as a general rule of thumb the opening times for the different market zones, craft and gift stalls will be 10am to 8pm Monday to Sunday while bars serving alcohol will be open from 11am to 9pm.

He added: "Hard to believe it was exactly 25 Christmases ago that Manchester's first-ever Christmas market took place. The croissants and cinnamon rolls in sauce are a classic from The Flat Baker, but this festive season their croissants are laced with a warm sauce of your choice and spiced cinnamon rolls drizzled with your favourite sauce Lotus Biscoff being one of them. With their pistachio croissant filled with ice cream and drenched in pistachio sauce going viral over the summer, the Ancoats bakery has now given it a wintery touch by serving it in a pot of pistachio sauce for you to dip your croissant addictively into as well as serving it with a generous helping of whipped cream for that added luxury. The team are super friendly and pride themselves on the family feel of the bakery, all with a Brazilian twist.
