A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said two occupants of the house had been assessed by paramedics as uninjured and did not require hospital treatment. A Queensland Police spokeswoman said they received multiple calls about a house on fire. When officers arrived the home was fully engulfed but the fire had not impacted neighbouring properties.

They had earlier urged residents to prepare to leave on Wednesday afternoon, before the downgrade, but warned conditions could change throughout the night. Rural Fire Service Area Director Corey Bock said a shed and water tank was lost in the fast-moving fire before crews arrived. It's just outside of an estate but it is actually typically very rural, where the fire actually was located. Mr Bock had earlier said the Flagstone blaze been burning across hectares of dense bushland. But we have everyone safe at this point in time.
