I recently wrote an obligatory MoonDrop Blessing 3 vs. Starting with fit, the Final Audio A and MoonDrop Blessing 3 both offer exceptional comfort, but take opposite approaches. I take no issue with its size, however, as the thoughtfully smoothed-over physical design prevents it from straining or agitating any part of my conchae or ear canals. The A, on the other hand, finds its ergonomic comfort in its smaller design. In terms of style and aesthetic, we again see some pretty major differences. We also see the transparent medical-grade resin featured in plenty of other MoonDrop designs composing the housing, leaving the internal working of the IEM entirely visible. There are a lot of textures competing with one another in this design, but I find it to be a coherent blend. The biggest technical enhancement we see in the Moondrop Blessing 3 from its previous generation is the inclusion of a new dynamic driver, in addition to the 1 DD and 4 BA driver configuration that went into the Blessing 2. F-Core Du serves to reduce distortion to a near-zero level. Both the Final A and Moondrop Blessing 3 perform exceptionally well for their price points when it comes to their spatial character. It also possesses a pretty satisfying internal 3D quality that places parts inside of my head rather than around it. While the Blessing 3 is solid and a couple of degrees above average when it comes to its staging and imaging, the A is simply fantastic in its spatial layering and could be considered sound stage royalty for the market tier in which it finds itself. Height, width, and depth are all abundantly present, and position parts as if they reside on finely plotted points on a 3D grid. Vocals perch dead center above the forehead, while instruments find a deep and wide expanse, sometimes managing to push themselves behind the head.

I can.

The diaphragm, voice coil, magnet, magnetic circuit, and adhesives along with the production equipment have been newly designed. The material of the driver front housing is brass which is less affected by magnetic force, and it has a higher specific gravity than general aluminum. The sound quality was designed based on Final's unique evaluation method established during the development of the flagship earphone A In addition to transparent sound when you clearly hear sounds that are localized at a distance , you can hear even finer sounds in the mid-low range giving each sound a sense of depth. In addition, a newly designed 2-pin soft silver-coated cable developed for the A comes standard with its easy to handle braided cable.

The Final Audio A is a new single-dynamic driver in-ear monitor that aims to deliver audiophile-level sound quality at an affordable price point. I was eager to test out these IEMs and see how they stack up against more expensive options. Disclaimer: The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own. I have not received any form of compensation or incentive to endorse or promote any specific product mentioned in this review. The Final A has an angular, geometric housing shape reminiscent of a snail shell. My unit came in a matte black "Shibo" finish, which looks sleek and subtle.

I found this physical design filled up my ear in a way that provided some solid passive isolation. Once I got it into my ear pretty easily, if I may add , I could set and forget it. Ear hooks are provided, but the A stayed snugly in place without them. All and all, it scores very high marks in fit and comfort. My only minor crticism is that I wish it came with a cable with a detachable jack, and included both a 4. Oh well. Not the worst issue.

The A is based on the optimal housing design for IEMs established in the development of the B series, and achieves an even better fit. The A housing is held at three points for a stable fit: 1 point in the ear pocket, 1 point in the earpiece, and 1 point in the tragus. Get to Know Us. So how to approach such situation? Connector 2pin 0. My thoughts are my own. The A's soundstage gives it a real advantage over similarly priced competitors. Treble The treble is very nice on these. A rubberized clamshell carrying case is provided, much better than the cheap pouches included with many IEMs in this price tier. Vocals are slightly more forward. Male vocalist feel little life less due to back fall in mid.

With the recent release of the Final Audio A, it seems only right to put it head-to-head against the E for a comparison review.

Passive Active. In Ear. Customer Ratings. Final Audio at Audio Subtle upgrade from a Sounds less colored than the a, but soundstage is still really wide and sounds great with instrumentals. Sibilance is very well controlled, an area where cheaper IEMs often falter. Final A Earphones Share:. Log in. The Treble is getting close to showing a bit of sibilance but nothing noteworthy. There's even some vertical layering, which is rare to hear at this price point.
