I'm trying to get into fate and visual novels more and it seems like this is the best way to experience the fate visual novel, however I can't find a place to download to actual game to start using these patches. I'm going off of these posts as guides, but the links and websites they provide aren't working for me. It tooked me three days to get it started. If I find a specific link then I will add this. The plot focuses on a young mage named Shirou Emiya who becomes a warrior in a battle between "Servants" known as the Holy Grail War. Shirou bonds with a heroine through each route and confronts different adversaries participating in the war. Both mostly follow the Fate route but add events from other storylines. A "True Ending" can be unlocked depending on the player's affection. There are multiple ways in which the player can lose the game, including Shirou's death or a decision that causes the heroine to be murdered. The story revolves around Shirou Emiya , a hardworking and honest teenager who unwillingly enters a to-the-death tournament called the Fifth Holy Grail War, where combatants fight with magic and Heroes from throughout history for a chance to have their wishes granted by the eponymous Holy Grail.
