Ev eliminator

I did a search but got no definative information on EV ELiminator 15's with a horn. What is the general concensus on ev eliminator series of speakers, and any users that could report on them would be a bonus I also wouldn't consider them entry-level speakers, ev eliminator.

I currently use the older EV Eliminators, I recently upgraded my system and bought some EV Eliminators which I found out they where actually Elimnator i Series, shich look slightly different, same basic design only difference is the way the grills are inset on i Series and wrape around the front corners on the regulars. I have never had any problems with these subs, only thing was the used ones I purchased had a couple of loose bolts on the speaker, they only use 4 bolts to hold the sub to the baffle in blind nuts, because of the speaker mounting angle I suppose. To get the most out of these I have found to use a good crossover unit.. Very well rounded and powerful sound for the money. Yeah it's ev eliminator if you bi amp them, but it works fine if you've got a beefy amp to run the whole system. You may also like.

Hi all, so does anybody know anything about the Eliminators by EV? These are the Eliminator Is' one 15" woofer and one big horn. I am looking at a set, seems like a good deal. I heard a pair of these at a company picnic a while back, don't remember being impressed by them though it could have been the cheap Behringer amps at fault. The original Eliminator bass horn is a W bin similar to a Lascala bass horn, a little larger, goes lower, and has less distortion than the Lascala. The big advantage is that it was designed so that it could be cut out with a Skil saw. The 8HD mid horn is an Hz horn and in the case of the Eliminator, it did not have the benefit of being mounted to a solid, flat baffle. Therefore the low midrange performance suffered considerably compared to the Hz mid horn of the LaScala.

The crossover in the PDF says Hz but no lower limit. If you would bother to read then pdf I posted it shows the response, and lists the drivers used.

If they are in good shape, I think you are going to like them Well yes, the definitely seems to lose out against the Eliminators at a more comparable price. Post Reply.
