Today we are learning how to draw a butterfly with this simple step by step guided drawing for kids. I needed some guidance, to realise you can do things one step at a time and that simple shapes can turn into beautiful creations. While I do believe the most amazing creations come naturally, sometimes we do need directed drawing to master the basics. And once you have the basics, like know how to draw a butterfly, you can take things from there and add your personal touch. It certainly helped me build my drawing confidence. We are all about making things easy peasy here and it was about time we tackled drawing too — so we are starting a new how to series — dedicated to drawing for kids. Each of our tutorials will come with a printable PDF template you can print and use at home or in the classroom to get the kids to draw their creations. I always loved butterflies, and as bugs are kind of a popular subjects with kids, I though this was the perfect thing to draw first.
