Dyson trigger not working

Power is cutting out while the trigger is pulled, dyson trigger not working. No warning lights are flashing, and the battery indicates a full charge. I purchased this vacuum less than a year ago for my wife, so it should still be under warranty.

Occasionally it would turn itself on when i was emptying it. This week it would just stop while I was using it. I have cleaned out the barrel and washed the air filter and the battery is fully charged. It worked for 2 minutes and then stopped. There are no blockages. Any ideas?

For those who have intermittent problems with their V11, it is worth checking out the trigger first. The trigger is not strong enough and Dyson do not supply a replacement. When I rang Dyson to try and find out what the problem was it was not mentioned. It would put them in a better light to be open about it and help customers rectify the problem. I for one have now had 4 Dyson hoovers over the years but I will be looking elsewhere when it comes to buy a new hoover in the future.
