It wasnt an optimal build but it was efficient. I wanted to use it because of the rad bleed visual on the blade when hitting an enemy, its length, and its potential to bleed out. However, it only had a 51 bleed aux so I had 40 wasted points in luck. I triggered bleed on approximately 5 enemies and a few bosses. But I was killing enemies in around 3 hits so bleed became an afterthought. It has a fun and versatile moveset when 2h. The biggest problem I had was parrying with it but figured out the frames rather quickly.

The self damage isn't a penalty that makes this weapon bad, its a balance to keep it from being so good it's broken :. If you are looking for PvP the washing pole beats every other katana. On a serious note, you should have "Repair" or a little stack of Repair Powders in your belt if you decide to use the Washing Pole.
