There was a lot of thought put into creating this world in which humans live alongside Wyr shapeshifters and Faerie folk of all kinds, and old magic is alive and well in this world, and into the adjacent magic realms. She had an amazing sense of humor and personality, some of the best jokes were from her. Some things are just not done, Thea Harrison. It's something that isn't in a lot of romance, that sort of casual affection between two people, and I really thought it was sweet and endearing. I loved that Dragos and Pia fight together and become close but there is no insta love although there is an instant attraction but they get to know one another. So uninspired and unexciting and unstimulating you will forget all about it two days after finishing it! The fact that you don't find out what Pia is until the book is almost over. It was hilarious to witness his attempts to tame and gentle his beastly side for Pia, and sexy-as-all-get-out when he let the beast loose in their lovemaking.
