Four 4 fuel injector plugs — you can use the ones from the harness that was on your OBD1 engine harness. Tiny screwdriver one that comes in an eyeglasses repair kit available at your local Walgreens, etc. DO NOT use cheap crimp-on wire connectors for making any of the connections. Solder all splices and use heat shrink tubing to help support and protect the splice. Plan on spending about 2 to 3 hours to do the wiring changes. When making the wiring changes, you will end up with a cleaner and more reliable installation if you de-pin and re-pin the wires into the connectors at the ECU, where possible, rather than cutting and splicing them.

The stock dpfi connector has 14 pins and the crx si connector has 8 pins so im just wondering what i should do. Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions. I have performed this swap, i'll try to explain everything the best i can. You will have some unused clips as well as the dpfi manifold had extra sensors. The tps outer two wires need to be swapped because the tps on the mpfi throttle body moves a different direction than the dpfi tps. I'll find you a diagram for wire locations.

The red wires are all grounds that go to the Injector Resistor Box, and should be connected to a square plug on one end, dpfi to mpfi. Basically, Take your mini flathead screwdriver and grind down the one side of it so that the tip will look like a perfect square.

You've stumbled upon a great horsepower swap if you've got a base model Civic or CRX. If you are not mechanically able, I wouldn't suggest doing this swap but it is pretty straight forward once you read over how it is done. You are going from 2 injectors that is almost like simple carbeuration to 4 injectors which is like 4 injectors. Now this swap is great if you want to spend little money and gain some hidden horsepower. The engine wiring harness will make wiring so much easier if you get the complete harness.

You also need to tap into the injector power and intercept it with the resistor box, then run each of the four wires coming out of the resistor box to the other injector wires. EDIT: I forgot to add this to the diagram I drew when you connect the positive wires for the injectors to a15 you do not cut it you splice in to it by stripping back some insolation on the wire.. On the TPS plug on the DX harness you will see 3 wires going to it, yellow, red, and green, in that order if you are looking at the top of the clip from left to right on the DX clip. Take a long piece of wire — it has to be long enough to follow the harness wiring all the way to the ECU, once the engine is in the car — make sure it is long enough, as you can cut it off later — and connect it to the Yellow wire from Injector 4. Take another long piece of wire — it has to be long enough to follow the harness wiring all the way to the ECU, once the engine is in the car — make sure it is long enough, as you can cut it off later — and connect it to the Red wire from Injector 2.

The Main Injector supplies fuel constantly into the intake manifold through the throttle body. Now, There is alot of soldering involve but you'll be glad you soldered all the connections in the end. Here is how to get started at the ECU: Best Method To Do This: -Pins B10 and B12 are empty meaning there are no wires going into them as a general rule, however some models have a wire at B12 if you have one that is one there that is one less wire you will need to move. To depin the wires from the ECU plugs you need to pop out 2 white clips at the top and bottom of the plug, then from the front side you need to use a needle or something thin but strong to pry the pin out of the plug, its a pain in the ass to do, all I can say is keep trying Received 35 Likes on 34 Posts. For doing this I suggest swapping out to the proper Si distributor plug so it is all plug and play and looks clean. Old vs. Without this box your fuel injectors will get fried. The throttle body on the Si is also up right where the intake enters the manifold, so you'll need to extend the wires about 10 inches. When making the wiring changes, you will end up with a cleaner and more reliable installation if you de-pin and re-pin the wires into the connectors at the ECU, where possible, rather than cutting and splicing them.
