Having been hit with two major losses and a betrayal from his own wife in such a short space of time, they're questioning how much more he can take. There's no redeeming heroic turn in sight for Gravik, of course, but "Secret Invasion" could still pull a reverse "Captain Marvel" on Talos by revealing that he was actually a bad guy all along. This story does take place in , , so I can totally see a Nick Fury story that takes place prior to this where who knows who's going to show up, and if a story takes place after , , anything's possible in the MCU. A whole bunch of world leaders were already Skrulls well before Gravik took over. As soon as episode four delivered a heartfelt moment between G'iah and Talos, where the father and daughter put their differences aside, the clock was ticking on the latter. Many felt the untimely demise of Maria Hill Cobie Smulders didn't have the impact it needed, especially considering Smulders has been with the MCU since way back in 's The Avengers. Release Date.
