There are currently 13 different Bosses in Darkest Dungeon. Each one is very difficult to beat and requires a different strategy for each individual boss. Each boss also drops their own respective trinket whenever they are defeated at their highest level, with the exception of the Darkest Dungeon bosses and secret bosses. To fight most bosses, you must get them as a quest in the Estate Map. You can achieve this by doing regular quests until the experience bar for a dungeon reaches the maximum capacity. An interesting thing to note is that bosses will always be found in the farthest amount of tiles from the starting room. The Necromancer is one of the bosses of the Ruins dungeon.
Darkest dungeon bosses
This page is for bosses in Darkest Dungeon that aren't fought at the end of a dungeon quest, but rather found through other means. While they are fought outside of normal means, the rewards you obtain for defeating them are usually great. The Shambler is an Eldritch boss that can appear in one of two ways: either as a fight in a hallway when your party is in total darkness or whenever you use a Torch on a Shambler's Altar curio, an altar with a red orb in the middle. It will summon the Shambler and you will have to fight him in total darkness if you do so. Your party will always be surprised when fighting this boss, no matter the circumstance. If you run away from his fight, he'll show up in the next one. His main form of attacks are attacks that move him either forward or backward and deal either bleed or blight, while also summoning little Shambler Tentacles. These tentacles aren't too strong when they first come into the fight, but each time they hit successfully they will be buffed quite a high amount. The Shambler will summon more if they die off, making killing them a bit unattractive, so try and focus the boss down instead. He also has another move which shuffles the party and deals 10 stress damage, making this boss very annoying to deal with if you have a team that relies on party placement. He also drops items that are impossible to find outside of his fight, so some people purposefully wander dungeons to try and trigger his fight. The main way the boss attacks is that he summons three Collected enemies, which are floating heads of Highwaymen, Vestals, or Man-at-Arms.
You won't darkest dungeon bosses who the Shield is going to target like you can the Prophet, but this team has enough PROT across the board that it shouldn't matter too much. Other than that just focus fire the Viscount. Just my twin cents tho.
Bosses are large, difficult enemies which the player encounters in the Ruins , Weald , Warrens , or the Cove. There are also special bosses in the Darkest Dungeon , Courtyard and Farmstead. There are two types of bosses: Bosses and Mini-bosses. Bosses are only encountered in missions that require you to slay the boss. Mini-Bosses are encountered roaming in the hallways of any mission. Unlocking bosses requires successful expeditions in the relevant location.

My licentious impulse gave way to a genuine professional respect, and together, we began to plant, harvest, and brew. As time wore on, her wild policy of self-experimentation grew intolerable. She quaffed all manner of strange fungi, herbs, and concoctions, intent on gaining some insight into the horror we both knew to be growing beneath us. The change in her was appalling, and no longer able to stomach it, I sent her to live in the weald, where her wildness would be welcomed. The Hag always appears taking up rank 3 and 4, while her pot takes up ranks 1 and 2; neither she nor her pot can be moved from those positions. When empty, the pot cannot be damaged unless you only have one character left.

The Prophet is a boss which appears in the Ruins , and, like other bosses, has three variations Sonorous, Fulminating and Gibbering. This raving creature had to be silenced. But doing so proved maddeningly impossible. How had he survived the stockades, the icy waters, and the knives I delivered so enthusiastically into his back? How had he returned, time and time again, to rouse the townsfolk with his wild speculations and prophecies? Finally, resigned to his uncommon corporeal resilience I lured him to the dig. Triumphantly I watched as he tore his eyes from their sockets and ran shrieking into the shadows, wailing maniacally that the end was upon us all.

Some very rare trinkets aren't a great deal of use: Martyr's Seal, Hero's Ring etc. The main strategy to defeating this boss is to completely ignore the Bone and Head, as they have a high amount of PROT, especially the Bone. Up Next: Necromancer Previous. Be prepared for the fact this fight is going to take a while. Cove : 20 food, 8 torches, 5 bandages, 1 blight cure, 4 herbs, 1 holy water, 1 key, 4 shovels. Each round the shield disappears into the air, dropping its guard. His attacks consist of dealing a large amount of damage to two characters while also causing a strong bleed, dealing a low amount of damage but shuffling the entire party, and dealing a low amount of damage as well as a good amount of stress damage while summoning a Cultist Priest or Defensive Growth enemy. Targets a single character in your party, having the chance to force them to switch sides. Focused Fault. Behaviour The Baron is a bloodsucker who gets three actions per turn. Area of effect moves work great on this fight too, for when the Collected Man-at-Arms guards the Collector. Here we'll discuss some of the key issues you need to think about before clicking on that button which will take you into a boss dungeon. So don't waste time on scouting buffs in camp, scouting trinkets etc. If there are any remaining egg piles by the second turn he was revealed, he'll break all of them and summon their inhabitants.

The caveat that while she is on cannon breaking duty whole fight, you got only three shots at the lighter. Low amount of damage to the entire party, causes blight, moves the Shambler back one position, and summons two Shambler Tentacles. That means two things: If you've got a particular hero in mind for a boss fight, do NOT take them on regular missions if they're close to L3 or L5. For this form you'll want to stun as many as possible due to the fact that the Reflections have low stun resistance. On the other hand, the Butt has a decent amount of PROT while the Heart has absolutely none, so you'll definitely want to attack them when you can. Please update to include the shrieker. I am not going to give the exact stats for each boss.
