All Superior slayer monsters encountered in the Catacombs are guaranteed to drop a dark totem piece. This item can be combined with the dark totem base and the dark totem middle to create the dark totem , which is used to reach Skotizo , a demon that lurks beneath the Catacombs. Players must assemble the totem if they wish to receive further totem pieces from monsters within the Catacombs. The drop rate of a dark totem piece excluding superior slayer monsters and Skotizo is determined by the amount of hitpoints the monster has.
