Boards Dark Souls What would you say is the "intended path" to beat the game? Axx 3 years ago 1. I'm talking about what areas and bosses you're intended to do in order. I know the game is pretty open but there has to be a path that has the absolute smoothest playthrough possible. No food or movies? I'm outta here! I like running better! This is just in which order I kill the bosses. There are tons of optional bosses though, all of which I think you should fight even if it's just before gwyn lol.

Follow the areas in the order proposed below for our recommended approach. Bonfires are littered around almost all areas of Lordran and are a place where you can rest and level up by offering souls. The last one you rest at will also act as a re-spawn point upon your inevitable death.
