They have the appearance of giant clams with red spikes sticking out of their upper valve. Their mouths are littered with bluish skulls that seem crystallized. While not particularly powerful, Giant Clams have plenty of attacks performed in quick succession that can knock the player off their feet, effectively stun-locking the player to death. The Ash Lake is relatively small and is home to both a new Covenant to join and a boss you've fought once before. You'll start this area at the top of a large log. Follow this down and note the bonfire to the right as you head downwards. You'll also likely spot the Hydra off to the left - ignore this guy for now and head down the bottom of the log and round to the right and rest at the bonfire.
