The Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Temple Trust, which is a part of the Mandal carries out various activities of social welfare. To prepare the ground for a bigger celebration, Lokmanya Tilak first installed Ganpati idols at five neighbourhoods in Pune at his own expense.
