The league is divided into two divisions, the Black Division and the Red Division. The Black Division is for the more competitive teams, while the Red Division is for the less competitive teams. The league season runs from September to May. Each team plays each other team in their division twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams in each division are relegated to the previous division. The CSFA - 's is a great way for young players to develop their football skills and have fun. The league is well-organized and competitive, and the players are all encouraged to improve their game.

It was founded in and is affiliated to the Scottish Amateur Football Association. The CSFA currently has over teams competing in a variety of divisions, from youth to senior level. The league's first season saw just six teams compete, but it has since grown to become one of the largest amateur football leagues in Scotland. The CSFA has a long and proud history, and has produced some of the country's top amateur footballers. The merger has been a success, and has helped to strengthen the CSFA's position as one of the leading amateur football leagues in Scotland.
