CodeHS is a comprehensive computer science teaching platform. We provide codehs districts standard-aligned K computer science curriculum, professional development, and a suite of teacher codehs including a coding LMS, codehs, online IDE with real-time collaboration, codehs, and much more. Teachers can also create their own assignments and courses on CodeHS to fit their classroom needs! For districts who are looking to build out a full K pathway, CodeHS offers vertically-aligned elementary curriculum with professional development and ongoing implementation support.
With amazing teacher tools, resources and support, CodeHS is made for both new and experienced teachers who are passionate about expanding computer science in their schools. CodeHS uses video tutorials, code examples, and coding exercises paired with a comprehensive suite of teaching tools to make sure that the teachers can teach and the students can learn, regardless of experience levels. Although I have not used this product, I plan to incorporate it at the beginning of the school year. Utilizing this program the students will learn the coding concepts and I will learn how to teaching coding. Each video lesson is well designed and provides the student and the instructor with coding exercises that will expose the students to the fundamentals of computer science. The only drawback of Code HS is the cost. Many districts are not willing to spend that kind of money on one program.

CodeHS is an interactive online learning platform offering computer science and programming instruction for schools and individual learners. CodeHS is focused on spreading access to and knowledge of computer science by offering online instructional materials supported by remote tutors. In the introductory learning module, students on the site practice computer science concepts and programming skills by giving commands to a dog named Karel. In the most popular course offered, which is similar to the original Karel programming language developed by Richard E. Pattis , Karel the dog must complete various tasks by moving around a grid world, and putting down and picking up tennis balls using only simple commands.
