Cod vanguard vs mw2
Call of Duty: Vanguard was hardly a successful Call of Duty. It wasn't a failure on a commercial level, though it is believed to have disappointed Activision in terms of sales and reception.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is now available, and though the reception to the latest entry in the longrunning franchise has been a bit mixed, fans are absolutely more pleased with the game than they were with Call of Duty: Vanguard. There may be a few annoying Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 bugs to deal with, and ongoing issues like SBMM, but the core gameplay has been well received by fans. Still, there is an area that is lacking in comparison to Call of Duty: Vanguard. Immediately, fans may assume that this weak point is the mini-map, with most gamers frustrated about the removal of the classic style, as they now see suppressors as pointless and feel forced to run a UAV as one of their streaks. However, the actual biggest downgrade has to deal with something that has become a staple of the Call of Duty franchise in the last few years: Operators. Through this system, gamers could level up their Operators to unlock several new items that spanned a wide variety of cosmetic categories. In turn, players could not only make their Operators their own, but they had something to grind for beyond the usual camo challenges.

With the release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 , it is easy to think back and compare it to the previous game, Call of Duty Vanguard. Each game is set in a completely different time period. Modern Warfare 2 is set in the present day, while Vanguard is set in the midst of World War 2 - this means all the weapons, vehicles, and maps are completely different. We take a look at which game offers a better package, comparing each aspect to its counterpart. Each Call of Duty title always offers a good time, but certain modes, gunplay, and maps can ultimately make or break the experience. Modern Warfare 2's campaign is a follow-up to Modern Warfare 's campaign, following Ghost, Price, and their squadrons as they try to stop several terrorist plots. This story is engaging and feels like a Hollywood movie, with incredibly bombastic and well-directed cinematics and set pieces. The gunplay and mission variety is also just phenomenal in this campaign, taking you into aquatic combat, deadly races fighting tanks, and stealth missions in the forest. This campaign trumps the campaign found in Vanguard quite easily, as the missions and story offered are just excellent. For multiplayer maps, Modern Warfare 2 takes the prize.
Gunplay in MW2 is incredibly snappy and tactile, which allows for quick-paced games where every shot matters.

However, despite its failings, some are growing fond of it following the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Considering it is set in World War 2, it is understandable, however, it would have been a good addition to keep the movement quick. Through this system, gamers could level up their Operators to unlock several new items that spanned a wide variety of cosmetic categories. Each gun in MW2 is extremely fun and allows you to dominate, regardless of the situation you may find yourself in. Though players enjoy many things about Modern Warfare 2 , it is hard to argue against the idea that the franchise has started to move backwards instead of forward when it comes to its Operators. Whether or not anyone will actually return to Call of Duty: Vanguard to give it another go and kill time before the next Call of Duty game is a mystery. However, maybe it is an underrated Call of Duty games that will benefit from time. The gunplay found in Modern Warfare 2 beats out Vanguard's, and it is not even close. Earning gold required hours of dedication and grinding , as well as completing multiple challenges that were not easy. The gunplay and mission variety is also just phenomenal in this campaign, taking you into aquatic combat, deadly races fighting tanks, and stealth missions in the forest. MW2 offers a dolphin dive mechanic, which allows you to quickly face-dive onto the ground to avoid incoming fire. While gamers made it clear they did not approve of the Overwatch -like highlight intros , as they slowed down the final moments of a match too much, everything else was exciting. Call of Duty: Vanguard was the result of years of issues in the series, causing developers to get pulled off of projects, put on new ones, and release games that were quite obviously rushed. You probably quickly found yourself using the same four or five weapons in Vanguard, whereas in MW2 you routinely swap through dozens of weapons found in the game. While Vanguard offered lots of weapons, most of them felt dull and did not offer much difference.
While we don't always expect much difference between annual releases, Vanguard vs. Modern Warfare 2 is a different story due to their totally different settings and significant sales differences. Therefore, the gameplay, from weapons to vehicles to maps, translates differently.
While that is not a bad thing, Vanguard at least took a unique approach with World War 2 that brought in aspects not seen before. Sadly, much like with other Sledgehammer innovations such as Headquarters and customizable killstreaks, Operator leveling may never be seen again. Call of Duty Vanguard made camos, such as the heavily sought-after gold camo, hard to obtain. Vanguard did not offer a mechanic like this, opting instead for a more realistic style of movement but this limited mobility quite a bit. Beyond the removal of Operator levels and customization, the backstories for the characters have been a step-down. Modern Warfare 2 is overall a better game than Vanguard in almost every way. Although the newest Call of Duty game had a lot more time to cook than Vanguard and feels largely feature complete, it is still missing some rather specific elements and is buggy. Immediately, fans may assume that this weak point is the mini-map, with most gamers frustrated about the removal of the classic style, as they now see suppressors as pointless and feel forced to run a UAV as one of their streaks. Throw in the fact that some really don't like things like the maps, the gunplay, and some other features, it has some reflecting fondly on other Call of Duty games. Overall, MW2 just does more right than Vanguard, whether it be the setting found in the game or the number of weapons available. Additionally, maps like Transit and Rust are found recreated within the Warzone 2. Each gun in MW2 is extremely fun and allows you to dominate, regardless of the situation you may find yourself in.
What very good question
