To say I was peeved would be an understatement. They covered our highly modified Land Cruiser up until we sold it and then moved to the Isuzu Dmax we have now. Now, obviously this is not something you wish for, but the whole point of insurance is they are there for when a bad situation occurs, and to rectify it as seamlessly as possible. After a week of driving from Perth to Broome and enjoying some great spots along the way , we were soaking the laid back atmosphere up and enjoying a lot of time on Cable Beach. On the way, I pulled off the road at the bank to get some cash out. I jumped back into the car, put it in reverse and rolled back just enough to clear a little scooter in front of us, to pull back onto the road. There were about 6 car bays behind me, all empty when I arrived, and someone had chosen to park right behind me. With a sinking feeling, I pulled forwards half a metre and jumped out, to see the damage. A rather irate woman walked over, giving me the evils. A quick inspection revealed zero damage to my vehicle, as the tow hitch had taken the hit. A tiny bump, causing at least a couple of grands damage.

By adgrant3 April 18, in Public Forum. Hi Guys Just though Id share out recent experience with Club 4x4 insurance. We had an accident with a cow over easter, taking out the front of the cruiser. I tried to call the insurance company only to find they are only open Mon - Fri 8 - 4pm. Given that it was easter weekend I called them first thing Tuesday morning to advise them of the accident. I was asked to supply photos, dash cam footage, driving history and rego papers for the cruiser which i did. A few days went by and I hadnt heard anything from them, so i called and got told once they has something to tell me they would contact me.

There was a discussion on this matter recently. I think it was commenced by Kaleem from the ompany seeking feedback. Never never had an insurance claim for either. Said he would look into it. Two weeks now no reply from Kaleem advised he was too busy to zpeak to me but would get back to me mid next week - still waiting. But I did get a phone call from the same lady who I spoke to several weeks earlier who again told me the exact same story she told me previously. Asked to speak to Kaleem but nup to busy. Looks like we have been conned - they get you in and then hike the premiums way way up.

On Friday I received a text message to call club 4x4 urgently, so I called only to be told by a claims consultant that my claim has been denied and my policy cancelled do to non-disclosure of 9 vehicle insurance claims prior to inception of the policy which was back on 6th April If you are successful you can then claim your legal costs back from the Insurer, but this can take some time.
