I have been searching for a wooden chess set for quite a while now for my boyfriend's birthday. I was surprised by how many chess sets I did not like, because of the way the knight is made. Obviously, this is just personal prefernce, but I find most knights either too big looking like the most important piece , too "fancy" with crazy manes and jewelry and whatnot , too mean-looking or too blunt. I found one set which I thought was perfect, but unfortunately, it is sold out see the picture. If anyone knows of similiar chess pieces or just sets with "elegant" knights, not too fancy but very nicely made , I would appreciate it very much. I agree that the elite series is very similar and it is the one I am leaning towards at the moment, even though I like the knight in the HoS Cremona Series the one I posted above a little bit more, because I feel like it has somewhat more refined facial features and is a bit slimmer sorry for the nitpickyness. But I also really like the Piatigorsky series that Powderdigit suggested, so those are definitely my two favorite options. I'm still open for further suggestions though, I started looking quite early on because I was afraid of long shipping times, turns out I should have been more afraid of my indecisiveness.
