The accessories fanatic should know: She just designed her own capsule collection with French luxury footwear label Roger Vivier. But the stylist, who has made her sister into a red carpet powerhouse, will at least concede one arena in which American women have an advantage over the French. Here, Seydoux discusses how she convinced a French luxury brand to use rugged denim for their collaboration, what sneakers American women need to ditch, and what French actresses can learn from the Americans. How did this collaboration come about, exactly, and why denim in these accessories? First, I love jeans; I love denim. But this collaboration was the first time with my job that I was doing something for everyone. I have worked with brands before, but it was either a capsule or specially made for a shoot, and with this I did something for the younger women.
