Local craft beers on tap, delicious seafood dishes and the friendliest of staff, bow and stern chilliwack. Started by Jordan and his parents Jon and Jacki, the restaurant is based off the fish and chip shop they used to own while Jordan and his siblings were growing up. The team believes in treating everyone like family and they do it well. Bringing all of our favorite things to one location.
Today Diana of foodologyca, Joyce of vanfoodies, and I were in Chilliwack for the day. Looking for lunch around noon, we visited Bow and Stern as recommended by Tourism Chilliwack. This bar and seafood restaurant is located in the new Chilliwack Hub: District , named after its year of origin. Like all the other buildings, this one is built with a certain aesthetic, and it certainly pulls the area together with crown mouldings and archways. More on the whole of District in a future post. The best way to get a taste of all 4 available is via one of their flights.

As for food, given the name of the restaurant, we focused more on their seafood options like the battered cod fish and chips.

JS: Jon and Jacki are the parents of 3 and grand parents to 7. JS: We started as a family and have continued that way. I was actually hoping for the claw or the tail to be laid out on top of the pasta. Flavourful as is, but a whole other level of tang when dunked into their ranch dip dressing on the side. There are truly geniuses behind the scenes here. Celebrating tacotuesday with a trip to chanchoto. Fried crispy and served with tzatziki for dipping.
