It might well be the bounty rum fiji that we never see this rum for sale in Europe or the US. It seems to say firmly in the Oceania area of the Southern Hemisphere. So when I saw this on an Auction site I was quite determined to get it.

Also cereals and pastries, dusted with icing sugar, brown coconut sugar, licorice and honey. This dampening of citrus and fruit portion of the profile by molasses, caramel and brown sugar lessens the overall experience, I think and it was that sweetness that made me test the rum to begin with.

Menthol on the nose — it clears the nasal passage nicely! The nose is familiar — both in terms of the general Fiji style and when compared to other rums, bounty rum fiji. Sipping its pretty fiery stuff.

They arrived around 2 years ago and after a very brief appearance they seemed to all but disappear. I found this quite strange but we will discuss that a little later in the review, when I show you a photo which explains why……. It is denoted as small batch — which I take to mean it is a Pot Distilled spirit.

An Australian standard drink contains 10 grams of alcohol. As a mixologist you would probably use something like this if you are are looking for a drier less fruity Overproof. Further sips reveal a touch of chocolate and some sea salt on the mid palate. Tastes like proper rum. I would prefer more fruit if I was looking for a balanced sipper. However, I cannot find any information on the actual age of this rum. A touch of zesty lime.

The presentation is to be honest pretty uninspiring. The picture of the pirate ships is terribly cliched though and unimaginative. The extra strength sure helps it. Tastes like proper rum. An Australian standard drink contains 10 grams of alcohol. Not very fruity at all. It works nicely with cola as well and most fruit juices. Reminds me of the rums from Guyana, mixed with a little Jamaica and a touch of agricole.
