Bill Hader is an American actor, comedian, producer, voice actor, and writer.

William Thomas Hader Jr. Hader gained widespread attention for his eight-year stint as a cast member on the long-running NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from to , for which he received four Primetime Emmy Award nominations and a Peabody Award. He became known for his impressions and especially for his work on the Weekend Update segments, where he played Stefon Meyers , a flamboyant New York City nightclub tour guide. He also served as producer, writer and director, for which his efforts garnered him eight Emmy Award nominations for the series. He has done extensive voice work , portraying leading and supporting characters in films such as the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs franchise , Turbo , Inside Out , Power Rangers and Toy Story 4

Bill is also the co-creator, writer, and producer of the IFC mockumentary comedy series Documentary Now! His father owned an air-freight company and worked as a restaurant manager, truck driver and occasional stand-up comedian; his mother was a dance teacher. Though he was not hated by classmates, he felt he never truly fit in and filled his time watching movies and reading. He appreciated Monty Python, British comedy, and the films of Mel Brooks and Woody Allen, many of which he was introduced to through his father. He made short films with friends and starred in a school production of The Glass Menagerie. He was unable to gain admission to top film schools because of his "abysmal" grades, so he instead enrolled at The Art Institute of Phoenix, and later Scottsdale Community College. He also worked as an usher at a movie theater in nearby Tempe, which allowed him to see films for free. During his time on Saturday Night Live, he became known for his impressions and his character Stefon in the Weekend Update segments.
