Locally, Big Brothers Big Sisters serves children ages through six distinct mentoring programs. You and your Little can share the kinds of activities you already like to do. Play sports. Go on a hike. Read books. Or just give some encouragement and inspiration. Site-Based mentoring: Bigs spend 1 hour each week with their Little at a designated site. All sessions are supervised and activities are provided. Community-based mentoring: Bigs and Littles get together times a month for hours. Outings take place in the neighborhoods and communities that the volunteer and child live in. As your first step in becoming a Big, all potential volunteers are required to attend a Volunteer Info Session.
