I've always lived strictly by the belief that you can never have too much of a good thing. The Vermont-based brand styles itself with cheeky names, hippy-dippy packaging, and a willingness to shove just about anything that is even semi-delicious into a pint cup and hope that people dig it. I was tasked with tasting all pint flavors excluding dairy-free, and low-calorie options , and then ranking every single one. It was like ranking my own very children… if I had dozens of delicious, non-sentient children that sometimes gave me a brain freeze. At any rate, the process was grueling, my freezer was consistently occupied , and I learned myriad valuable life lessons along the way. Namely, that I am definitely not lactose intolerant, and toffee bars and ice cream don't mix well. Let's get into it. Starting with the worst, which admittedly, is still kind of the best. Like dates, actually. And I'm pretty sure they only put these two flavor components together because of the rhyme. Classic example of style over substance. It's too seasonal. Too strong.
Salted Caramel Core is one of those ice creams, best ben & jerrys flavor. Instead of big, chewy pieces of brownie, you'll feast on a massive swirl of batter that plays nicely with the ice creams and adds a fudgy touch to the chocolate chip cookie dough. Plus the chocolate chips are a decadent touch.
According to its website , the duo has been dreaming up decadent desserts since and has hit some pretty impressive milestones since then. After all, who are we to leave a pint unfinished? The downside is that the flavor can be misleading. It doesn't quite taste like a banana split. Although it's a valiant effort, the end result falls a little bit flat given how to pint is named. However, the not-so-sweet downside is that the flavor is a tad bit dated.

Clayton: There are so many things going on at once — caramel and chocolate ice cream, chocolate-cookie swirls, and chocolate-chip and peanut-butter cookie dough the real winner. Although this pint could benefit from another complementary flavor like caramel or marshmallow, it's still a good showing that might not wow you but won't let you down. This is for the most hardcore fans. On the other hand, it's got plenty of those fudgy bites and soft texture, so it is a valiant effort, just one that misses the mark. But in Chubby Hubby, everything gets muddled together, and the pretzel bits begin to feel soggy near the bottom of the pint. The Topped line is fun because there are so many different components in the mix, but here they overlap in a way that just becomes redundant without the intensity. This cleverly named pint will do the trick if you love mint and chocolate. Cinnamon Buns. The cherry ice cream and cherry pieces have an excellent tart taste, and there are still some fudge flakes in there for added sweetness. Peanut Butter Cup. All rights reserved. The core is everything in this pint; a soft and pliable ribbon of wonder that you can scoop up and eat with every bite of caramel or chocolate ice cream. Clayton: Americone Dream is the best.

The brownies are baked, but the dough is not, a fun little nod to the name of this flavor and something that provides a slight extra variation in consistency. Instead, it's much like eating vanilla ice cream with chocolate rather than the intended combo. Bourbon Pecan Pie. Girl Scouts, eat your little hearts out. Although the name is more than slightly misleading, it's fairly good ice cream with a ton of textural components and a refined and lovely taste. Also, the ganache provides a rich, deep chocolate flavor complemented nicely by the milk chocolate base. Pumpkin Cheesecake. It's an outstanding balance. Maybe they should have let the ol' flavor revel in retirement. Clayton: Americone Dream is the best. But I do appreciate the addition of marshmallows, an underrated ingredient in ice cream that's not used very often. I've always lived strictly by the belief that you can never have too much of a good thing. This pint is so much more than that. Instead of big, chewy pieces of brownie, you'll feast on a massive swirl of batter that plays nicely with the ice creams and adds a fudgy touch to the chocolate chip cookie dough. Going into this ice cream gorging ordeal, I definitely assumed this would be one of my least favorite flavors.
