Be cool radiator
Be Cool Radiator Review. Thread Tools. I just got finished installing a Be Cool direct fit radiator in my '86 Z I wanted to review the product so other potential buyers know what they are getting into. The quality of the radiator is excellent. It is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship with excellent welds. It also works really well. I couldn't seem to sure hot running and overheating problems in my car. None of this worked. The Be Cool radiator cured the problem. The car now runs a steady at idle. The problem is that direct fit is a bit of a misnomer in my opinion.
Never any problems with it and the car runs cool in TX heat with AC and it's a big-block, too. I had read that.

They are designed to cool stock applications and overheating can take the fun out of using your specialty vehicle quickly. Crossflow radiators are constructed with their tanks on the sides, while a Downflow radiator has its tanks on the top and bottom of the core. A commonly asked question is: Which is better, a Crossflow or Downflow radiator? The answer: Both will cool the same as long as the core surface of the radiator is the same in square inches. Cooling monster motors, especially when faced with common problems like tight spaces and small grille openings can be a challenge. Their epoxy-free construction provides better heat dissipation, too, while allowing complete repairability.

I do have a older Be Cool radiator it is sitting in the box waiting to install when I get the front end done, and is safely tucked away, and I won't dig it out to measure it. Aside from that, I've only had my Cold Case radiator in the car for about a year and I think the construction of their radiators is pretty good for a US-Designed offshore-built product.
