Michael Mason is an American pickpocket living in Paris who finds himself hunted by the CIA when he steals a bag that contains more than just a wallet. The storytelling is very simplistic, and although Idris Elba and Richard Madden show hints of a dynamic chemistry, the at times ridiculously bombastic plot nowhere allows them to develop that chemistry to noteworthy effect. Characters are just tools to get the story going, rather than real people with a personality. Where the film does a much better job, is at bringing the action.
