I have been to Malta once, but to Gozo, an island of Malta, we have never been. We were quite intrigued to try something not so promoted within travellers. Our stay was organized directly by Brian, and after, a house was selected for us, and everything was super smooth. So, earlier this month, we packed our bags and made our way there for a 5 nights stay at Baron Holiday Homes Gozo. We thought it would be an apartment, but it was a full house with a private pool. We were pleasantly impressed of the place. Mayjo Car Hire is based in Gozo, and they offer really unique experience by offering the transfers from the Airport to their office where you can rent a car. It took us 1,5h to get to Victoria, Gozo, to their office, to take our car and to drive to our luxurious house of Baron Holiday Homes Gozo. We parked the car just outside the house, as there was enough space for it. Inga explained us all the details about the property and where we have to call in case of any question occurs during our stay. Check in was quick and efficient, Inga took all the necessary information and we had that kind of feeling like we came back home. We stayed at Ta Leli Holiday Home. The entire house, has 3 bedrooms, and obviously, we used only 1 of them. We have seen photos, and were familiar with the properties they have.

The story goes that sometime around an Armenian landowner and devout Christian, one Krikor Mazloumian, undertook a pilgrimage from Turkey to Jerusalem. Whilst there he noticed how well visitors were accommodated in purpose-built guest houses. The impression was compounded on his way home when he passed through Aleppo, where by comparison Europeans were obliged to stay in traditional urban caravanserais known as khans , with communal rooms and none of their usual home comforts. The canny Krikor spotted a business opportunity, and it was one he was happy to take given the persecution faced by Armenians in Turkey. Although it, too, occupied a khan it offered individual rooms, with their own water jugs, basins and towels, which were a significant novelty at the time. Success came quickly and Krikor soon relocated the Ararat to the upgraded Hotel du Parc. Then his sons, Armenak and Onnig, enlarged the family business by opening their own hotels, the Azizieh Palace and the Aleppo Palace. Both were located in what at the time were the outskirts of Old Aleppo, at the edge of a marsh teeming with wildfowl. The properties are ideal for small families and also larger groups as they the 4 properties together can sleep up to a total of 36 guests as follows. This house consists of 2 twin bedrooms and a double bedroom on the first floor and with an outdoor pool. This house is smaller and more intimate and sleeps 6 guests. View property. Directly next to this is Hamlet 2 which has a ground floor double bedroom and then 2 twin bedrooms and a double bedroom on the first floor and sleeps 8 guests. Just round the corner is Hamlet 3 which has a double bedroom on the ground floor and 2 twin bedrooms and a double bedroom on the first floor and sleeps 8 guests. Both Hamlet 2 and 3 have a large open living room and each house has an outdoor and indoor pool. During the winter months the pools are separated and the indoor pool being heated.
