Named after our beautiful little dog who is always by our side. Founded by Ash and Kurt, this venture is more than just a business; it's a passion project that brings together our love for the South Coast, our favourite country, Japan, and our shared experiences from travelling and living across Europe and the UK for the past few years. Drawing inspiration from the fun atmosphere of Japanese bars with their friendly, attentive service, Bar Yuki aims to create a haven for all. As we share our experiences from the music industry, expect great tunes to fill the air - whether it be from live music, DJs, and of course, timeless vinyl records spinning on the turntable. The focus at Bar Yuki lies in providing a diverse selection of delights for all palates. With a curated collection of beautiful wines, Japanese-inspired cocktails, classic beers plus a great range of non-alcoholic options too, there's something for every discerning drinker. Our mission is simple: to create a place where people feel at ease, welcomed, and embraced - a new neighbourhood hangout for everyone to enjoy.

This was our third visit to Yuki Restaurant, and we were expecting good food and decent service, which is what we'd experienced before. Instead, what we got was fish that actually smelled fishy, and looked visibly stale, like it had been sitting out. We ordered a plate of mixed sushi and maki rolls, and another plate of mixed sashimi. It seemed as though some fresh fish had been mixed with stale fish, maybe to try to get rid of the old one. There were cuts of salmon that were perfectly fresh, and cuts of salmon that looked crusted almost from sitting out - these bad pieces had a definite fishy odour to them.
