Army composition is boring as hell since the only viable unit is Fian Champion Battanian women are beyond ugly. No wonder Battania is dead in Warband. Towns and castles are a disgrace to human architecture. They are literally falling apart. I don't know guys. I guess Battania is supposed to give us some celtic vibes but hell do they fail at that. They aren't even close to what celts have been. Anyone out there maining Battania?

Battanian civilization consists of loosely organized clans who originally populated most of the Calradian continent, but has been reduced to a small pocket of free territory after much of their land was conquered by the expansion of the Calradic Empire. Specialties of the Battanian warrior culture include forest warfare, longbowmen, and two-handed swordsmen. By the time of Mount and Blade: Warband years later, Battania no longer exist as an united civilization, with all of their territory conquered and its people assimilated into the Swadian and Rhodok cultures, with some reduced to living as Mountain Bandits as evident by their common clothing. The current High King of Battania is Caladog fen Gruffendoc , a brilliant war captain adopted by the prior king, Aeril , who then died in mysterious circumstances. Despite the doubts around his accession, Caladog has made himself popular among the lesser clans of the land who admire him, a man of no great lineage, for having discomfited the Battanians' traditional clan hierarchy. His clan is the fen Gruffendoc, a formerly obscure family now swollen with his comrades-in-arms with whom he has made marriage alliances. Rulers have organized farmers into groups responsible for supplying troops.
