The Backrooms are a fictional concept originating from a creepypasta posted on a 4chan thread. One of the best-known examples of the Internet aesthetic of liminal spaces , which depicts usually busy locations as unnaturally empty, the Backrooms was first described as a maze of empty office rooms that can only be entered by " noclipping out of reality". As its popularity grew, internet users expanded upon the original concept by creating different levels and entities which inhabit the Backrooms. Fan-made video games, collaborative fiction wikis and YouTube videos have also been created: a series of horror shorts created by YouTuber Kane Parsons in is credited with popularizing Backrooms content on the mainstream internet, and he is slated to direct a film adaptation of his Backrooms videos. Another user replied to this post with the first description of the Backrooms: [4].

Hello, I want to make a backroom wiki project here, but I need help to do it If anyone is interested, please call me. Even with this result, I dont know what you want The Backrooms - Wikipedia. I imagine OP is wanting to create a wiki dedicated to users submitting backroom levels like levels of a videogame or levels of a multistory building , journal entries of users in the backrooms, and creating a compendium of creatures found on each level, that sound about right, Thales? There was a nice article on kokatu gaming website I think not too long ago. Theres a few good ones, personally I recommend the youtube series by kane pixels. Not sure. Once the template tiddler is filled out by the visitor, they can export it, email it, and then you or whoever you trust to do so, can rate it, and see if you want to upload it to the site. SCP Foundation has good documentation of how to judge a work as acceptable if you wanna give that a read. You can use Chat GPT to make grid layouts that you can customize to save yourself some time. As far as getting help with that, your best bet is to learn the basics of tiddlywiki by downloading a blank copy, read through the tiddlywiki. Something like this is a bigger project, and will take some time to get up and running, so patience is a virtue. I recommend downloading a copy of either the empty edition of TW or another edition of your choice you can find examples under the Community Editions tab here , and there are more showcased here on the forum. You can get excellent help sometimes from the developers themselves!
Continuing with that distinction, I can say that level 11 is just as major of a level as level 0 for the Backrooms wiki rooms. But among the hundreds of backrooms floors, I feel it doesn't work quite as well. So for simplicity sake, I will only rate positive, whole number levels, backrooms wiki.

Level 0 is a non-linear space, resembling the back rooms of a retail outlet. Similar to its previous form , all rooms in Level 0 appear uniform and share superficial features such as a yellowish wallpaper, damp carpet, and inconsistently placed fluorescent lighting. However, no two rooms within the level are identical. The installed lighting flickers inconsistently and hums at a constant frequency. This buzzing is notably louder and more obtrusive than ordinary fluorescent humming, and examination of the fixtures to determine the source has been inconclusive. The substance saturating the carpet cannot be consistently identified. It is not water, nor is it safe to consume. Linear spaces in Level 0 are altered drastically; it is possible to walk in a straight line and return to the starting point, and retracing your steps will result in a different set of rooms appearing than the ones already passed through.

Level 1 is the 2nd level of the Backrooms, and one of the only levels wanderers can enter directly through The Frontrooms. Level 1 resembles a typical warehouse, with fluorescent lights hanging from the ceiling, occasional machinery such as forklifts and hallways and stairwells which peel off and lead to separate areas of the level. Oftentimes puddles on the floor comprised of Almond Water will evaporate and condense into a thick fog, reducing visibility for wanderers who traverse through these parts; curiously, these puddles never seem to fully evaporate, and remain permanently. Level 1 has a consistent and reliable source of electricity, both to the lights and to various outlets on the walls which help many groups to survive. Due to the ease of reaching this level, many wanderers opt to either join or form a group to ensure their survival. This level contains various dangers that may pose a threat to wanderers.

If the first backrooms floors represent photographs of places you vaguely remember, this represents all the places you vaguely remember but not even photographs of it exists. But no, this level is apparently a survival horror game where the streets are infested with monsters, so you need to hunker down in houses to survive, and sprint from house to house to keep safe. There is a risk that this dovetails with insane conspiracy theories. Compilations of backrooms endings have this as its own ending. Where possible please; Share working examples if possible simple examples that show the problem without including the full story. It's indoors, it seems to be very large I'm assuming it is, but the wiki doesn't explicitly say , it's repeating office decor, and I'd say it's liminal. But the typical definition says that it's more than just a place that is familiar. It is liminal and mostly empty though.
Forum: Introduce Yourself. If you're not careful and no-clip out of reality in wrong areas, you'll end up in the Backrooms, where it's nothing but the stink of moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, and endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in.
So ultimately, they decided to make the lore that this was a second level of the backrooms. Yes it doesn't have an exposed sky, but I still would not count this as being indoors at all if there's nothing that appears to be man-made here.
