These have been working great for two years. As of this morning, the VMB base station is no longer recording any videos locally to the SD card. I reformatted the SD card through the app. It reports that storage is available and doesn't show any issues, yet when motion is detected on any of the cameras no recordings take place. I also cold booted the base and also restarted it several times.

When my free trial ended for the smart notifications, my cameras stopped recording. I researched and discovered that I needed to do local storage on my base. So I've added a flash drive to my base and now at the top of my library it says it's saving videos to Cloud instead of Base. However, it is still not recording my videos. The only videos showing up are the Pro 4 whose trial hasn't ended yet. Is there something else I need to do so it will record once it detects motion? Where you see cloud in the library have you selected it and then select Smart Hub in the drop down to see the Hub recordings? Local storage is limited in features so you won't see thumbnails like the cloud and you have to select them to download to view. What is Direct Storage Access and how do I use it? It doesn't mean that. It means that you are looking at the cloud library and not what is stored in the base. As dcfox1 says, you select the library you want to look at by pressing on the "cloud" and making a different choice.

After the update of the Arlo app on August 22, , when I try to access my Smarthub,I keep getting this message: There was an error obtaining your library. Arlo team is working on this issue. I already experienced this issue once but I could solve it by deleting and reinstalling the app and by restarting my phone. This time however, I was unsuccessful with those steps. Also rebooting my base station did not fix the problem. The cameras are working fine and all the settings seem to be alright but the local videos are just not shown in the library and two days ago everything was shown normally in the Arlo app. I did not change any setting. For the last two days, I can not access my recordings on the base from any cameras and doorbell. I am still getting notifications and a snapshot, but no new or past recordings are available.
