Can Stainless escape this mediocrity with his support abilities?
Stainless has been putting his mechanical engineering skills on the line every day as a member of the Londinium liberation group Eartha, striving to make headway against the terrifying might of the Sarkaz royalty. Like other Artificers, Stainless is a ground-deployed Block-2 unit whose kit revolves around deploying Support Devices through his Battlefield Engineer Talent. His E2 Talent, Cost-saving Measures , gives him a high chance to recycle a Support Device if it is destroyed while adjacent to him. This is helpful, but not as important as it sounds. Stainless may often deploy Devices away from his range, and he has other means to recover them rather than relying on this Talent.

Unlike other Supporters, Stainless is a melee Operator who can only be deployed on melee tiles and uses a melee attack that deals Physical damage instead of other Supporters who are ranged Arts units with similar ATK and attack interval to Pioneer Vanguards , which also extends to his stats including a block count of two. As an Artificer Supporter, having Stainless deployed allows the player to use Support Devices ; in his case, he can use either Stainless' Multifunctional Platforms or Prototypes of Feist's Metal Crab through his first talent Battlefield Engineer , which depends on the skill he is currently using. The Devices themselves are invulnerable and not counted towards the Unit Limit, but will disappear if Stainless is knocked out or retreated; unlike other Artificers, his Devices do not have limited duration. In addition, only one two from Elite 1 Devices can be deployed at a time; Stainless starts with two three from Elite 2 Devices available at his disposal. Stainless' second talent, Cost Cutting , gives him a good chance that any of his Devices in the surrounding tiles to him are recovered by replenishing their deployment count upon destruction. Overall, Stainless is a great Artificer Supporter who are capable of providing all sorts of battlefield assistance for his allies, making him a versatile Operator. Arknights Wiki Explore. Can Stainless escape this mediocrity with his support abilities? Where Roberta was a unique source of defensive shields and Windflit a strange mix of mediocre offensive and SP support, Stainless seeks to provide his teammates with powerful buffs to Attack or SP generation separately or even provide some decent damage with very gimmicky abilities to support Operators that benefit from constantly hitting enemies. As a reminder of what Artificer Supporters do, they are ground-based melee Operators with the ability to summon special Support Devices to the battlefield. These do not consume Deployment Slots, cannot block, attack or be attacked, or generally be interacted with though Stainless does break many of these rules. These Devices, instead, provide diverse support which can be strengthened even further when the Artificer activates their Skill. Support Devices generally break when these enhanced effects are activated or after a set amount of time has passed, but again, Stainless breaks the mold in this aspect. Stainless has the expected stats differences when compared to the previous two Operators of his archetype, boasting both better HP and Attack than both with an ever so slightly lower Defense than Windflit at equal levels. Stainless can carry up to three Support Devices at once, and deploy up to two at a time to support his allies. The behavior of the Support Devices varies depending on the Skill equipped. This is the basic should-have-been-a-trait Talent all Artificer Supporters carry, except for a couple of very important differences.
