This post is specifically for those who have a problem with the casting of Leah Jeffries as Annabeth Chase. First, let me be clear I am speaking here only for myself. These thoughts are mine alone. The response to the casting of Leah has been overwhelmingly positive and joyous, as it should be. She is the intelligent half-blood daughter of Athena who helps her friend Percy Jackson. Annabeth is described as being "five steps ahead" of everyone. She first comes off as methodological, cold, authoritarian and even slightly socially awkward, but in actuality has the spirit of a fighter and a warrior. She apparently sees potential in people as upon seeing Percy, immediately began to test him and put him against odds, somewhat without his permission. She is shown to have a snarky attitude, but is an overall good and heroic person. Annabeth is depicted as a young African-American girl, with long braided hair. Her attire seems to consist of a grey shirt, blue button up, a purple coat, dark grey pants, and a necklace. Annabeth Chase was born to the goddess Athena and her human father.

She is the deuteragonist in Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and is a main character in The Heroes of Olympus series, as she is one of the Seven demigods of the Prophecy of Seven. Annabeth is the architect of Olympus and the former head counselor of Athena's cabin. She is currently the girlfriend of Percy Jackson.
