Posted: Oct 19, Since putting it back together the menu's work ok with the directional pad but when I load a game the character just runs to the right all the time in Dexter. Tried with another game that boots to the menu and it keeps scrolling downwards in the menus could be due to it going right? I've tried removing the analog stick, but the character still goes right in game.

The cause of this issue involves debris under the stick. Power off your console and push the stick in any direction it will move completely forward in. Look at the crevice under the stick and see whether there is anything inside. Rotate the stick clockwise slowly and keep looking in the crevice for debris.

Also I have to press down hard of the dpad for it to work just the down arrow. Everything else seams to work ok on the psp Jon jon

There are plenty of places showing how to fix wandering analog PSP joysticks. Most of these repairs involve buying a replacement joystick. And who really wants to wait for the shipping anyway!
