L ike a lot of people trapped in apartments during Covid lockdowns, I discovered the pleasures of Alone, the survival show in which contestants compete for a big cash prize after being dropped in remote wilderness to survive alone for as long as they can. But it settles into a meditative rhythm that prompts the viewer to ponder: just how would I go? But when SBS announced that Alone was coming to Australia, it was action stations among survivalists nationwide. And if the first two episodes provided for review are any indication, the Australian show is a worthy addition to the Alone family.

Survival in the Tasmanian wilderness is proving just one part of the challenge for participants. I mean what a bunch of ungrateful and unskilled "expert survivalists". Please make it stop!!! Add a plot. After watching the North American version of Alone for the past 6 years, I've come to realize by watching Alone Australia that North Americans are tougher and more resilient than Australians. Give us a different set of survival skills from the other Alone series. Well, after watching all Alone episodes I'm pretty embarrassed and so disappointed. Videos 2.
