If you can help us with this wiki please sign up and help us! Alderheart is a major protagonist in the Warriors book franchise. He is the son of Brambleclaw and Squirrelstar and brother of Sparkpelt , as well as one of the current medicine cats of ThunderClan. He serves as one of the main protagonists of A Vision of Shadows arc, a supporting protagonist in The Broken Code arc and super editions Squirrelflight's Hope and Tigerheart's Shadow , a minor character in the super edition Graystripe's Vow and the novella Pebbleshine's Kits , and the tritagonist of the novella Daisy's Kin. Alderkit is born to Squirrelflight and Bramblestar alongside Sparkkit, Juniperkit and Dandelionkit, however Juniperkit dies soon after being born and Dandelionkit dies two moons later. Jayfeather receives a vision of Alderkit, though doesn't recognize him as the kit is facing away from the group before running off, though Jayfeather sees his white tipped tail and notices he carries the scent of ThunderClan. Moons later, just before their apprentice ceremonies, Alderkit worries if there's an assessment he must take before he can start his training. Sparkkit nudges and asks if he's exited, wondering who her mentor will be. Alderkit wonders too, hoping that it wouldn't be someone stern like Ivypool or Lionblaze. Bramblestar emerges from his den and commences the ceremony, and the small tom thinks about how proud he is to be his son. As they are made apprentices, the newly renamed Sparkpaw is mentored by Cherryfall, and Alderpaw is mentored by Molewhisker. Alderpaw pads over to sit next to his new mentor, not really knowing what to think of Molewhisker, but still hoping to impress him nonetheless. After the ceremony has ended, The two young cat's parents come up to congratulate them, adding that they're sure that they'll both be great warriors. Molewhisker tells his apprentice about the responsibilities he now holds, and Alderpaw tries to look worthy, but worries that it isn't working. Across the camp, he sees Cherryfall and Sparkpaw talking about the fun aspects of warrior life, and wishes that his mentor was as lively as his sister's.

Several leaders meet in StarClan, next to the glittering lake. They talk about what comes next for the Clans, and how unprepared they are for the danger ahead. Rowanclaw attends, and Firestar asks why he came, while Blackstar adds that he's no longer a leader. The tom answers that he did it for the good of ShadowClan, and that his Clan must get their territory back. Firestar insists that SkyClan must stay, and Tallstar concurs. The ginger leader continues that the Clans must work together or all fall. He talks of how RiverClan withdrew from the Clans, to which Crookedstar argues that they have since rejoined them. He points out that ShadowClan has a young leader who will be wanting to prove his strength, during a time when peace is most needed. Rowanclaw defends his son. Bluestar adds that if the Clans by the lake are lost, StarClan will fade with no one to remember them.
Alderheart
In the prologue, Alderheart has a vision of a dying medicine cat. Said medicine cat thinks she sees a cat called Frecklewish that is not there, and tells her Clanmates to "follow the blood trail in the sky", before dying. Her Clanmates mourn her and Alderheart hears them call her Echosong, and he realizes that this is SkyClan, and he knows they have to do something to help the lost Clan soon.

He is told that once he becomes a warrior, he'll be refreshing the scent markers on his own. Leafpool suggests that Briarlight be moved into the nursery for the time being to make room for more sick cats, and while Briarlight protests, Alderheart agrees to do so. The two medicine cats are able to escape RiverClan with the prisoners in tow, bringing them to take shelter in ThunderClan with the rest of their Clanmates. He then tells Onestar that if WindClan shared their herbs, Rowanstar would be better by now, but the WindClan leader hisses that he'll never let them have any. Even when it hurts like hell. Who do you think will pass first? Alderheart will go out Feathertail style. I know its not gonna be the same, but look at DOTC, its literally with ancient cats who happen to have more personality then the modern ones but still holds a place for us. Jayfeather is mad at him for revealing this, but Bramblestar says that it was a foolish thing to try and hide from their leader. The group hold a vigil for her the next morning, burying her where she can see the stars. He runs back to ThunderClan with this discovery, though Sparkpelt seems apathetic when he tells her.

Alderheart is younger and only in rare cases like Flametail has the medicine cat apprentice died before their mentor. Sparkpaw asks to start learning how to hunt, but Molewhisker tells her that they have something different to do. When Alderheart returns to camp, he tells his father that Juniperclaw is the culprit of SkyClan's poisoning, though the leder says he doesn't want to meddle with other Clan's affairs. Her sister and her sister's mate are still alive. He briefly thinks about how Whitewing is gradually losing strength needed to fight her ailment. Do you, Alderpaw, promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry, between Clan and Clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life? Leafpool being there to soften his blows was really helpful for Alderheart 2. As the group follows Sandstorm's directions, they come across a hostile fox, but are then saved by Needlepaw. Mothwing chooses to go through WindClan, citing that while they may give them a hard time, the rouges in ShadowClan won't hesitate to attack. While dreaming, Alderheart stands in a lush hollow that he doesn't remember seeing before.
