When you arrive at the top of the hill where Akkala Tower rests, look for an eye inside the crumbling ruins that encircle the structure. Shoot it with an arrow, and a metal beam will fall, allowing you safe passage to the inside of the tower, through a not-quite-fully barred window. Climb through the window and make your way up the ruins until you find yourself in an area with red carpet overlooking the metal beam.

Most of these require a reasonably straightforward upward climb, but Akkala Tower in the northeast corner of the map poses more of a challenge. Despite its proximity to Death Mountain, Akkala Tower is cold enough to require some form of protection, so Link doesn't take cold damage. There are a few ways to achieve this:. Use the Magnesis Rune to pick up the metal beam and align the edge with the pool of malice that encompasses the tower ledge. Drop it there, and Link will have safe passage to the rest of the tower. Now all the player needs to do is cross the beam and climb the tower as usual.

You still can't climb the tower from this location. Go left and you will soon go across a bridge, the Akkala Span.
