I am a regular host on Airbnb with my flat in London and have really enjoyed the experience. I often advocate for people to start hosting through Airbnb and recently was having a discussion with a friend who is interested in sharing her lovely home just outside Oxford. What she would like to do as part of her hosting is to teach people English as she is a qualified teacher and I thought Airbnb would be an ideal place to meet people interested in this as an adjunct to their stay. Does anyone have any experience of this sort of thing or any recommendations? The people who visit me who don't have English as a first language and come to sightsee not to improve their English. Certainly she can promote this in her listing and offer lessons at an added extra cost. BNB isn't cheap so not likely that she could go for the student market but there might be those who want to brush up on their skills or who do business in the UK who might want to combine a holiday in a historic city with lessons.
