It is an optional underground area slightly more linear than the overworld, but keeps many of its core mechanics - including fast travel and the restoration of flasks upon defeating enemy groups persist whilst underground however, unlike Siofra River you cannot use Torrent in this region. Another way to reach here without progressing Ranni's quest is from a coffin in the northwestern section of Deeproot Depths see it on the Elden Ring Map here. From the Study Hall Entrance Site of Grace, summon your mount and continue heading north following the road. Once you reach the area, you'll encounter a Golem guarding the elevator, you can skip past the golem and enter the elevator, the door will automatically open once you go near it. Step on the mechanism to activate the elevator, it will bring you down the Ainsel River. Once you reach the bottom of the well, touch the site of grace.

As you head back down, there is a Giant Ant on the ceiling which, whilst it doesn't always drop down, can do so and ambush you so be wary as you're passing by. Dealing with the 5 Giant Ants which you can lure down one by one if you're careful , head through the passageway that they were guarding and grab the Grace Mimic on the corpse lead over the coffin in the center of the stream. Continuing on you'll be ambushed by an Ant to the right tucked in an alcove, and there will be a patrolling ant roaming the lit tunnel to the south. Dealing with the patrolling Ant, another Ant will sprint down the tunnel to the southeast, and upon defeating it you can either follow that tunnel to the southeast or go down the slope to the southwest.

Turn around and hug the wall on your right while moving forward, then turn right, you'll see a group of Serpent Snails in the area guarding a corpse that holds a Celestial Dew. Nokstella is a subterranean city, like Nokron, that is occupied by silver tears and nox swordstresses. To the right is a dead-end with only some Magic Grease to loot. Make your way back to where the Malformed Star was to pick up another Ghost Glovewort 7. Pretty bizarre how this zone has such low level mats like Ghost Glovewort [1] Yet drops the highest level Ghost Glovewort after Boss. Looted from a chest in a room to the left of the main stairs in front of Nokstella, Eternal City Site of Grace. There is also a corpse in the tunnel to the left holding a Golden Rune, protected by an Ant. Jump down again and hug the wall on the right and you'll eventually encounter a site of grace. You'll find bunch of coffins and one of them will allow you to teleport similar how you first access to Deeproot Depths, but instead it'll send you to Ainsel River Main.
